MAKE RESERVATIONS NOW for July 18-24, 2010, when Troop 72 again attends BSA Summer Camp at Chief Logan Reservation (CLR), near Chillicothe. CLR is a beautiful facility with outstanding programs for both first-time and repeat campers. We expect a few of our older Scouts to be on staff again. Last year, we had 25 Scouts and 7 adult leaders. Let's have a bigger group this year! Cost this year is $210 per Scout, if paid by April 20th. After that, it goes up another $20. Chief Logan wants partial payments, so I need "earnest money" of at least $100 per Scout not later than Tuesday, March 16th. If your plans change, I may be able to juggle and get the $$$ back, but no guarantees. Again this year, we are asking each adult to pay $55. (Full cost is $110, but we get some freebies.) Make checks payable to Troop 72, or tell me to take $$$ out of a Scout Account. (I have the info.) If finances are a problem, please talk to me or Kevin Knepp privately ASAP. (There is no complicated application process!!!!!) The troop has some campership money available, and we don't want any Scout to miss camp because of $$$.

Please register through the Troop (I'll handle all the details), rather than directly with the Council or Chief Logan. Paperwork is NOT the BSA's strong suit.

I will have blank health forms at every meeting. There is a 4-page health form for both Scouts and adults, which is only good for 12 months. So, everybody except Sam Wilson and Logan Wild need a new health form/exam this year. You must use the 'new' 4-page forms.

I will also have a list of items that a Scout should (and should not) bring to camp.

We will be having a contest to design a Troop 72 summer camp T-shirt, and will offer them for sale. Each Scout must have a Class A uniform shirt, but the T-shirt is optional.

Lets make this the biggest and best Summer Camp ever!
