Fee Schedule and Rules from Philmont

The 2013 Expedition fee is $770 per participant. A non-refundable, non-transferable reservation fee of $100 per participant is DUE February 29, 2012. This is your ONLY NOTICE - if reservation fees are not received by the deadline, your reservation will automatically be cancelled. To avoid financial risk, we recommend fees be collected in advance from each participant. A 2013 High Adventure Expedition reservation form must be approved by your local council and returned with your payment. (coming to you my snail mail). A subsequent payment of $335.00 per person will be due October 1, 2012and the balance of $335.00 per person is due March 1, 2013. (ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE)
If your plans have changed and your group decides to cancel, please do so in writing or by email. In the event your group cancels, you may not transfer this reservation to another unit.

Please note, 2013 Philmont youth participants must be 14 years of age OR have completed the eighth grade and be at least 13 prior to participation. Also, each crew (7-12 participants) must have a majority of youth and is limited to a maximum of four (4) adults over 21 years of age. No crew of fewer than 7 or greater than 12 will be allowed.

Philmont strictly enforces height/weight requirements to improve the health and safety of participants. Basically, a participant’s weight must be proportioned to their height. A copy of the height/weight chart is enclosed. You will receive the helpful planning tool, “2013 Council & Unit Planning Guide”, in May with your financial statement.
