Patrols are the building blocks of a Boy Scout troop. A patrol is a small group of boys who are similar in age, development, and interests. Working together as a team, patrol members share the responsibility for the patrol's success. They gain confidence by serving in positions of patrol leadership. All patrol members enjoy the friendship, sense of belonging, and achievements of the patrol and of each of its members.

If you need to attend a meeting for Citizenship in the Community (requirement #3), there is a Fairborn Parks & Recreation Advisory Board meeting this Wednesday, November 12th, at the new Fire Station across from Kroger. I will be there, and can take you home. Meetings last about an hour and 40 minutes, and are pretty interesting. There are openings for high school members of the Board, which does a lot of volunteer work for Fairborn parks.

Check back often for updates !!!!!

No man is much good unless
he believes in God and obeys His laws.
So every Scout should have a religion....
Religion seems a very simple thing:
First: Love and Serve God.
Second: Love and serve your neighbour."
- (BADEN-POWELL;Scouting For Boys, 1908)

Scout
vespers

Softly falls the light of day,
As our campfire fades away.
Silently each scout should ask:
"Have I done my daily task?
Have I kept my honor birght?
Can I guiltless sleep tonight?
Have I done and have I dared,
Everything to be prepared?"
